So I've been having this dream lately...
Well not so much a dream as a thought
That gets stuck in the back of my mind
And occasionally comes rushing to the front to consume my consciousness

It's an image of me
Standing completely alone in a void
And I can't decide if I'm being crushed by the weight of this emptiness
Or if now that I have nothing
I'm more free than I've ever been

It's only after we've lost everything
That we are free to do anything
And I feel like for the first time in my life
I'm able to truly do what I want to do
With no fear of consequence or judgement

And that scares the shit out of me
Because now when I fail
Everyone else has abandoned ship
The only person left to disappoint is me

So here I am
Crushed by the weight of my freedom
